Continuing with my talk of skin care & routine, I had to share another major brands skin products. Between The Ordinary and Pixi Beauty, my skin care needs are more than fulfilled. I do use other brands in my routine, don’t get me wrong. BUTT if I could only stick to two brands, they would defiantly be it.
Please note that Both brands have many other products that are amazing as well, these are just the ones I have tried, loved & need in my life!
I have talked a lot about my skin routine & my fave products but it dawned on me that I have not given you guys insight into my skin type! So here goes. My skin is pretty dry, but I do get oily in my T-zone. I have very bad dark circles under my eyes & they are very dry too. My skin is very sensitive and always keeps me guessing if I am having a reaction to a new product or just a break out.
My method to uncovering reaction vs. breakout is simple. I continue to use the product, because as they say, if it’s a good product it could be purging your face. I’ll do that for about a week. Then, I will go a week without it. Lastly I’ll do another week with it. If my skin cleared up and then broke back out when I got back on the product I will ditch it. There are some factors that I also throw into this, I.E., am I stressed, PMS, etc. But for the most part, this has worked for me.
So back to Pixi….
Lets talk where you can buy and how much it’ll cost you. Pixi is sold through their website or can be found at Target & Revolve. (I am sure there are other places, but that is where I frequently buy them.) Pixi does offer a student discount of 15%, for those ballin’ on a budget students who still want to have quality skincare. If you sign up on the pixi website they will send you a 10% off coupon for your first purchase! They’ll also send you promotional discount codes via email, once you sign up. Lastly, shipping is typically free for orders over $25, on the Pixi website, and for me that is an easy price to get to ;p
Enjoy & as always I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
