As a mom we need a place to take the kids that allows them to burn off steam but is also a safe and friendly spot. (Especially during this pandemic!) That is why I love the Discovery Children’s Museum. Todays post is all about – How to Discover fun at the best kids museum in Las Vegas.

COVID-19 Protocals:
Since we are amid a pandemic I will outline the importance of health safety. The Discovery Childrens Museum is doing an amazing job allowing kids to learn but keeping our health a top priority! You now have to make an appointment prior to visiting the museum. We have been able to make same-day visits, or book in advance.

Additionally, Everyone is required to wear a mask (2+ age) & have their temperature checked upon entering. Exhibits are closely watched for capacity limits. On Mondays they are closed for deep cleanings, unless otherwise stated on their website. Some Mondays they are open during school breaks or holidays.
Exhibits:
The Discovery Childrens Museum has several levels and are all wheel-chair accessible. The exhibits appeal to all ages and stimulate the brain! The girls love the center maze that climbs through the floors. (It is currently closed due to COVID). Below are a few photos of the girls favorite areas in the museum! There are several more not pictured! For a full list of exhibits click here!
Another awesome thing about the exhibits at the Discovery Childrens Museum are the special events. This is a recent exhibit where Nevada Ballet displayed their Nutcracker ballet costumes & props.

Tips & Tricks:
Since we’ve visited several times over the last few year I have to share some tips & tricks in this How to Discover fun at the best kids museum in Las Vegas post. I want to share a few tips & tricks of visiting. No food is allowed in exhibits, however they do have a little lunch room where you can enjoy your snacks. Because you can be here for hours, I would suggest bringing a lunch box for the kids.
I like to start at the top of the museum and work our way down. Mainly because of the very fun water exhibit that usually has the kids soaking wet by the end. (even with their rain coats on). I also bring a change of clothes if we are going anywhere after the museum. (because of the water)
I never bring a stroller, because I end up leaving it outside of the exhibit. However, you can bring them and it is helpful to hold things.
